My job involves: Marketing, negotiating and listening, which I believe are the
three strongest skills you require to be in real estate sales. You need to be able to
multi-task and be flexible -- probably why women make great agents!
I love what I do because: Quite simply I love working with people. Buying or
selling property is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will ever
make. I believe I am in the privileged and responsible position of helping make
people's dreams come true.
My goal this year: Is to be healthy and happy. A healthy body = healthy mind
and with both of these I can only succeed in whatever I choose to do.
My advise for Women in Business: Is just be you. Honesty, integrity and hard
work are the keys to success on any level.
After hours you will find me: On the rugby sideline cheering on my 14yr old,
walking my dog, relaxing with my husband as the teenage boys seem to be MIA!
Hopefully some skiing and reading.

My job involves: Educarents Queenstown is a licensed home based childcare service that services the Queenstown,
Wanaka, Alexandra and Cromwell region. My role is varied from visiting families letting them know about the service,
enrolments, admin tasks, property inspections, organising first aid courses and professional development workshops for
our educares to attend and parent education evenings for the Educarents families and community. I then put on my
teacher hat and visit all our educarers/families monthly to provide Education support and resources for our educarers.
I love what I do because: I really enjoying getting out and about in the community meeting families and supporting
them with their children. I really enjoy working alongside our educarers in providing a quality home based care and
education service for the families in our community.
My goal this year: Educarents is a relativity new service to the area. It has only been operating a year. So make more
people/families in the community aware of the service and that they are entitled to this support and funding.
My advice for Women in Business: There's no short cut its only hard work that gets you there. Stay positive and enjoy it.
If you don't enjoy it you're in the wrong job!
